Depending on the features used, Écrivium may process account and identification data, information relating to subscriptions and payments, technical connection data, content stored in the Writer Office, exchanges with support, and content voluntarily submitted to artificial intelligence functions.

Processing is used in particular to create and administer accounts, provide Écrivium tools, save and synchronise projects, manage subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse and secure the service.

Depending on the purpose concerned, processing is based in particular on performance of the contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests relating to service security, or consent where required.

Manuscripts and private documents stored in the Writer Office are not intended to be made public by Écrivium.

Their processing is limited to operations necessary for operation, storage, backup, export and functions explicitly requested by the user.

When a user voluntarily requests an artificial intelligence function, the instructions and content excerpts necessary to perform that request may be transmitted to the technical provider used for that purpose.

Payments may be handled by a specialist provider such as Stripe. Écrivium is not intended to store full bank card numbers directly.

Information is accessible only to people and providers who need it for hosting, storage, security, payments, technical support or functions requested by the user.

Écrivium does not sell its users’ manuscripts.

Data is retained for a period proportionate to the purposes for which it is processed and then, where necessary, for the periods required by legal, accounting or security obligations.

Écrivium implements technical and organisational measures intended to protect accounts, data and manuscripts against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

Strictly necessary cookies may be used for authentication, sessions, security and preferences.

Trackers requiring consent must only be used after the user has made their choice.

Under the conditions provided by the GDPR, individuals have, in particular, rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, data portability.

A complaint may also be submitted to the CNIL.

Users may request deletion of their account, subject to information that Écrivium must retain in order to comply with legal obligations or defend its rights.

It is recommended that important manuscripts be exported before permanent deletion.
